About Kat
Kat Madrid lives in Makati City. She loves to read …from soup cans to graffiti – (which she finds highly entertaining by the way). She thrives in the excitement of hunting bargain books.
When she was still in second grade, she thought her Ma would yell at her for reading a title from the latter’s vast collection of romance books. Turns out, her Ma was tickled pink with the idea that her daughter likes reading her kind of stuff. However, she cautioned Kat not to read the more “adult” ones – which Kat didn’t exactly heed (but of course her Ma didn’t know that, unless she’s reading this).
She loves her day job as a division assistant for a local realty giant and finds the act of assisting five bosses, ten project directors and a bevy of other office characters quite challenging, at times exhausting but at the end of the day, very fulfilling.
She began writing in high school and was editor-in-chief of the school organ. In college, she was fluky enough to be picked to join a writing club headed by a Palanca awardee. Here she was introduced to poetry…including erotic poetry.
In her free time (which is not much nowadays), she loves to cook, bake, surf the ‘Net, run in 5K races or watch Mafiosi movies. Kat is currently owned by her three peculiar felines (Koko, Sphinx and Fudgee) …one of whom even has the audacity to sleep in front of the PC whenever Kat was writing.
At present, Kat is in the process of writing her second book and is really enjoying the act of torturing her poor characters before they stumble and fall into their very own happy ending.

Hello Ms. Kat, i’ve been reading Kristine Series from 1st volume to 2nd volume. I love the hunk guys there. But when I finished reading the XANDER, WOW! as in big WOW! another good writer is born. Talagang di ko siya binitawan till di ko natapos up to the last page. And imagine I even ordered that book all the way from P.I to Qatar where me and my hubby are working. I can’t wait to get a copy of your next book if meron na uli. Please let me know where i can get a copy.

i am still writing my 2nd and 3rd book . i did post a teaser on http://www.katmadrid.net for the 2nd book (rhys, another EDGE). i will be posting updates, including the teaser for the 3rd book (a RED edition) very soon. i am hoping to finish the RED book (entitled Sleeping with the Devil) by the end of the month, as promised to LM. hopefully it’ll be out within the next few months, so i hope you’ll watch out for that. as for rhys, he will be out before the year ends. again, maraming salamat sa encouragement for new writers like me and i hope you’ll continue to support other LM writers as well. best regards to you and your husband in Qatar. cheers!
